Wired moon

This shows an optical effect. A wire is at a distance, and in front of the moon. The wire seems to be thinner in the area of the moon. I dont know abt the name of the effect (Somebody help me). I had heard about it in Dr.GS Ranganath''s lecture. It has something to do with spherical aberration if I'm right. Thanks to Goo for taking the picture.

@SF: That is due to diffraction. The primary reason for this aint diffraction, if MY physics is right
